I had a dream that this love would last forever.
And in that dream last night you died in my arms.
My heart torn out from the cold river bottom of loneliness.
I pray tonight that God will shine a light from beyond just for you.
I had a dream last night you came down from heaven.
And in that dream you mended my heart with one last kiss.
I had a dream last night I cried forever.
And in that dream I cried a river of blue.
I had a dream last night you came and whispered in my ear.
This love will last forever.
And in that dream last night I died in your arms.
I had a dream last night our hearts melted together.
And in that dream God put me forever back in your arms.
