An Original, One-of-a-Kind Oil Painting by Artist Gregory Michael Maness
Step into the golden glow of harvest season with Chardonnay Summer, a masterful oil painting that captures the soul of California’s wine country. The focal point—a laborer bent under the weight of an overflowing harvest backpack—embodies the grit, toil, and passion behind every exquisite bottle of Chardonnay. You can almost feel the relentless summer sun radiating off the canvas, the scent of ripening grapes thick in the air.
Beyond its breathtaking brushwork, this piece is a true sensory experience. The artist has seamlessly integrated vineyard wire and authentic Chardonnay grapevines into the frame, while real black crow feathers adorn the harvester’s hat. A cascade of hand-selected, high-end California Chardonnay corks lines the base of the frame, grounding the piece in authenticity. Grapes spill from the canvas in 3D, blurring the line between art and reality, inviting you to reach out and taste the harvest.
More than a painting, Chardonnay Summer is an invitation—to step into the vineyards, feel the weight of the harvest, and toast to the beauty of craftsmanship in both art and winemaking.

FOUNDER’S NOTE
This piece started with the vines.
Cabernet Sauvignon grapevines don’t age politely. They twist, harden, scar, and keep producing long after younger vines would give up. When these gnarly aged California grapevines reached the end of their vineyard life, they had already done their work. I didn’t want to smooth them out or tame them. I wanted them exactly as they were.
The bottles carry their own history. Once they held celebrations, labor, and long conversations. Removing the labels wasn’t about erasing identity, it was about letting light become the story instead of branding. The internal stabilizers and cushioning are there because permanence matters. Beauty should last.
Florida wood grounds the piece. Cedar and yellow pine bring weight, warmth, and resilience, anchoring the movement of glass and vine. The rolling base was intentional. Light moves. Art should be allowed to move with it.
“Califlorida” isn’t a gimmick. It’s a meeting place. West coast wine culture, east coast rawness, and a refusal to let good materials stop their story before its time.
Nothing here is accidental.
Nothing here can be repeated.
This work isn’t about nostalgia.
It’s about continuity.
