Crafted upon a striking slab of Red Cedar—finely polished and indigenous to Florida’s Black Water River Basin and Israel Region—this powerful mixed-media sculpture #10 of the Follow Me Collection is more than art. It is a riveting declaration of eternal truth, forged in reverence and vision.
At its crown, real railroad spikes—heated and hot-welded into place—form the unmistakable, brutal silhouette of the cross. Their weight and rawness reflect what Christ may have seen nailed into sacred wood. The spikes pierce the cedar not just physically, but spiritually—
anchoring the piece in the agony and glory of sacrifice.
Scattered across the surface are floating crosses—metallic, wooden, and radiant sky-blue—symbolizing souls rising toward heaven’s gate, each on a path to the eternity of everlasting life. These crosses drift like prayers upward, echoing the movement of the Spirit.
Just below the cross, a captivating pair of carved wooden hands form the universal heart symbol—a modern gesture of love placed in direct communion with ancient truth. It is an unforgettable image: love made visible, both then and now.
